Walu Evolution Safety Cover

The Walu manual Safety cover is firmly established as the finest bar supported safety cover on the market. These are manufactured to French standard NF P 90--308 and have a maximum load capacity of 100kg.

Walu Starlight Safety Cover

Walu Starlight is an enhanced and refined version of the Walu Evolution model. The support poles for the starlight are inverted so the half round suspends beneath the cover giving a more aesthetically pleasing look to the visible cover surface. The end of the support poles are formed with the flattened profiles which allow for a closer and flatter fit the coping stones.

The main benefit of these features, however, is that the inverted poles mean that the cover is easier to handle, with both the winding and un-winding being smoother operations.

Walu starlight is designed for use on rectangular pools only (with or without pool steps and ladders) so the inverted support bars can sit neatly between the coping stones.

 

Walu Eco Safety Cover

Walu Eco offers many of the advantages of the Evolution and Starlight but at a fraction of the cost. This lighter weight still complies to the NF P 90-308, and hence meets all the requirements of a manual safety cover, but benefits from a more simplistic design and lighter-weight, albeit equally tough, fabric.

Manufactured to suit almost any shape of pool, the Eco is an all-rounder. For shaped pools the cover retains a rectangular shape but has protective ‘shoes’ provided with which will protect the cover against wear at the critical shaped points.

Walu Woodstar Safety Cover

A sister product to the successful Walu Evolution, the Woodstar is specifically designed to offer the same level of safety and simplicity for above ground pools. Secured with stainless steel ratchets and pre-angled brackets, the Woodstar is easy to install and operate.

The Woodstar removes the need for any other cover or reel system on your above ground pool and can be made to a perfect width, with cut-outs for ladder entry points, filtration systems and counter-current systems all possible.

The pool surround must be at least 50cm above ground level for operation and any cut outs can only be to one central end of the pool.

 

Coverstar Automatic Safety Cover

afety is naturally a concern for those buying a pool. This is where Certikin’s Coverstar comes into its own as it is one of the best covers in the market place. It is more than capable of supporting the weight of children, pets and even adults, should they accidentally walk on it. But it also has other huge advantages over competitors’ products.

Fabric Benefits

Most automatic cover manufacturers use sewn webbing. With this method, the webbing often fails before the fabric does. Coverstar, however, use an exclusive, patented process to heat seal the webbing around a polymer bead and weld it to the cover in one step. This heat sealed webbing is colour matched to the fabric to create an attractive finish. Independent lab tests show Coverstar’s heat sealed webbing is more than twice as strong as competitive webbing sewn to a cover.

Furthermore, rather than use industry standard vinyl for the cover, which is popular with other manufacturers, Coverstar use the far superior Ultra Guard III vinyl composite.

The high level of UV resistance offered with the Ultra Guard III will reduce the level of colour fading considerably, compared to standard vinyl, plus it offers high resistance to chlorine, acid, ozone and other pool chemicals.

Coverstar’s Ultra Guard III fabric with colour matched heat sealed webbing has a 7 year warranty (first 3 years is 100%, followed by remaining 4 years pro-rata) and is
available in a range of colours. The optional low profile leading edge will complete the aesthetic appearance.

Mechanical Benefits

Engineered with extreme precision, the Coverstar mechanism is built on strength. The sliders are more than four times stronger than any other used in the industry.
The exclusive heavy duty double ball bearing pulleys have almost triple the load bearing capacity of single row pulleys used by other manufacturers. No sheer pins or
bolts are used, instead the system operates with keyways to provide maximum reliability. Unlike other systems it cannot double engage causing the system to try to run in both directions at the same time, causing gears to wear and slip.

Coverstar’s Powerflex Diamond Braid Ropes behave like a shock absorber. They are self-adjusting during operation for a more reliable performance, which negates
the need for a compensator. Coverstar’s mechanism has a 20 year manufacturer’s warranty. The Diamond Braid Ropes are the only ropes to come with a 2 year no-break warranty.

To top it all, the surrounding and connected heavy-duty frameworks and brackets are fully expandable, ensuring the most solid fixing and eliminating bent and/or broken brackets. Once the system is locked into place, it cannot move around.

Coverstar is suitable for both deck mount and pit mounted installations and comes with end covers (for deck mounting) and a selection of pit coverings (for pit mounted installations) including heavy duty trays for copings, a new flat lid plus composite decking.
